Rebar Plan
Goal: Keep
bottom of cement posts from moving by installing a ring of rebar around the
perimeter of the foundation just above the big foot bases. Straight and “L”
shaped rebar will be placed in the Sonna tubes prior to pouring of cement, and
then welded together after the cement has cured. The rebar will then be buried
underground tying the bottoms of all posts together.

Support Post Layout
Posts must
be perfectly aligned along length, width and height lines because we will be
bolting rim support beams directly on top of the cement posts. We will
plan to start by pouring the corners for the main cabin area and then pouring
the interim posts afterward. The three porch posts (at the bottom of this
drawing) will be poured after the rim support beams have been installed.

Site Layout as Seen from Rear of Building
The closest layout marks in this picture mark the position of back wall of
the warming hut. The faint orange marks that are furthest away mark the
front of the warming hut porch. The warming hut has been positioned so the
view from inside and the porch is centered on Jericho Mountain. The rock
retaining wall to the right of the orange marks will be removed and replaced
with a dirt ramp to allow easy access from the existing pavilion to the warming
hut.

Site Layout as Seen from Front of Building
The closest layout marks in this picture mark the front of the warming hut
porch. The faint orange marks that are furthest away mark the back wall of
the cabin. The warming hut has been positioned fairly close to the
pavilion so that the WMRR groomer can go around the back side of both structures
and then cross in front of the warming hut to knock down the drifts in the
winter for easier snowmobile access.

Site Layout for Generator Pad
The generator pad is located about 20 feet away from the rear wall of the
warming hut along the back edge of the site. An underground conduit will
be used to run an electrical cable from the generator pad to the cabin.
The generator will be used only for special events and will power conventional
110-volt recessed lights and plugs in the warming hut. At all other times,
the warming hut is equipped with 12-volt batteries and an LED lighting system
recharged from solar panels.
