Volunteers Haul Bridge Lumber and Widen Cor. 19

July 31, 2010

Last Saturday, 5 club volunteers showed up to transport bridge materials for 3 bridges on Corridor 19.  They also widened out a new section of trail that was opened last year to eliminate an "S" curve.  Here are some pictures taken by John Higgins during the work day:

Eric Johnson and Joe Main help Brian and Dick MacDonald strap down a load of 16' long 6" x 6" beams for one of the bridges.

The boys load up two loads of bridge decking, one pulled by a side-by-side Prowler and the other by an ATV.

The crew meets up the landowner out on the trail.  The landowner had an ATV with a log hauling trailer that was used to take out some of the wood the crew cut down to make the trail wider.

How about spending a day with our crew?  We offer free accommodations for volunteers coming from out of town and we guarantee you will have a fun day out on the trails.  Please send email to larry@twolakeslodge.com for details on upcoming work parties.
