Riverfire, Pumpkin Lighting and Horrorfest on Sat. Oct. 22

On Saturday, October 22nd, 2011, come to the Northern Forest Heritage Park, 942 Main Street in Berlin, NH to catch a full day of fun, ending with some spectacular fires on the river, lighted pumpkins on the bridge and HORRORFEST!

At 1pm, the gates will open to activities and vendors for visitors of ALL ages. Come for the food, come for fun….Admission to the park is FREE.

From 1pm-5pm, purchase a bracelet for $8 to enter the “Bouncy House Village”. This year’s village includes an “Obstacle Course” & “Moon Bounce” for children, teens and adults who want to join in on the fun as well as houses for just the smaller children. There will be face painting, Halloween cookie decorating & Bobo T. Clown joining in on the fun at RiverFire too!

At 5pm, the “Children’s Halloween Costume Parade” will begin to lineup at Gate A to the park. Everyone, including parents, please join in the spirit and wear a costume as we march into the Heritage Park and then up Main Street to the pumpkin bridge and ending in the Brown School playground.

Our traditional Hayrides will begin at 3pm and the cost will be $2 per ride. New this year, the ReMax hot air balloon will be at Horne Field, weather permitting, from 4pm-6pm offering balloon rides for $5 each. “Horrorfest” will begin at 6pm. Enter the 2-acre haunted village presented by Theatre North only if you dare! Admission price is $8 per ticket. Pre-sale tickets are available now at the Chamber office or call 752-6060. For ages 13 & up.

At dusk, the fires on the Androscoggin River will light up the sky along with the glowing carved pumpkins on the bridge. Take a walk along the riverwalk and admire the fires that appear to be floating on the water as you make you way up to the walking bridge lined with wonderfully lit carved pumpkins. It’s surely a spectacle you won’t want to miss!

Watch for more information about RiverFire festivities including the FREE pumpkins that will be available at the Chamber/Main Street office one week prior to the event, while supplies last. Get your carving tools ready….we want to light more pumpkins than last year!! Carve & bring your pumpkins to the bridge beginning at 2pm on the day of the event.

Theatre North will be hosting Horrorfest in the Village at the Norhtern Forest Heritage Park
from 6:00 to 10:00 PM on October 22 during the RiverFire Festival.  
The event is for anyone over the age of 13 and will cost $8.00 per person.
 



Fiery boom piers will light up the Androscoggin on Saturday night to cap of a day of activities
at the Berlin Riverfire festival.
