Early December Storm Dumps 9-13" on Berlin/Stark
Larry Gomes, WMRR Website Coordinator
December 4th, 2007

A storm that started on December 3rd and ended on December 4th gave a great base of snow for starting the snowmobile season.  Storm totals in the area ranged from 9" in Berlin to 13" eight miles west in Stark.  The only bad news is the snow was very light and therefore it will compact down fairly quickly.

The WMRR club is evaluating if they should open some trails earlier than December 15th.  As you will see from the pictures below, many gates are still closed and logging operations are in process in at least one area.  So stay tuned to the club website to get the latest information on trail openings.
